Litost is a Czech word for deep, saddening humilation. Author Milan Kundera describes it as “a state of torment created by the sudden sight of one’s own misery.”

Vocalist Sam Harris uses this word to convey the sadness he feels from continuing to return to a lover that emotionally abuses him

Hi Stircrazy775-

And welcome!  Interesting song.  Do the emotions portrayed echo what you're going through?  If so, I'm sorry, and if you are or were in a relationship with someone who exhibits traits of borderline personality disorder you're in the right place, we're either there too or have been, and we understand.  Can you tell us your story?  It can be cathartic to type it out and tell us, and you're not alone.
