I have read about mirroring dealing with ppl with BPD.  I know mine did with me. But here is the thing. I was discarded Sept 4 2015.  Have not heard a peep from my ex after Nov 2015. The only thing I got like a lot of ppl here after the discard was blocked calls, fake FB messages and 1 fake friends request. It seems like the norm when getting out of relationships with these ppl. Anyway I have a question.  Do they still mirror us way after our discard? I'm only asking bc mine seems to be doing it  with me on her FB page. We still have 1 mutual friend and she contacted me saying that all of a sudden my ex is doing a lot of the things I do when she never liked or did them before. For example I love snow, she hates it. Her background pic on Facebook is snow. I love Peanuts aka Snoopy. She never bothered with it until me last year sending her Snoopy emojis they Facebook. She never did that until me. Now my friend said she is doing it all over her Facebook. And there are other things that I do and still do now that she is also all of a sudden doing. So like I asked before. Do they still mirror exs way after they discarded us? I just find it very odd.

Yes, I think they do. My BPD friend did this before we were close and still after on social media. I only noticed it by chance and didn't think of it as mirroring - and still don't - but more as copying the behaviour of someone they regard as being psychologically healthy.
Like I say, I've not thought of it as mirroring but more as recognising that we are psychologically OK and they are not, but maybe, in view of the fake msg I got, it was supposed to get our attention.
I doubt we're black all the time. We can't be or they wouldn't try to recycle.

Maybe Julie. Lol in regard to being painted black my ex did that to me for 26 years. Found me in Facebook in 2013 and acted like nothing ever happened btw us and she didn't remember all the horrible crap she pulled on me. Amazing.
