Title: New to the Idea of BPD... Post by: SoImTryingHere on December 16, 2016, 08:24:15 AM I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 5 years ago by a "not-so-reliable" drug-despensing doctor - however, everyone in my family (my sister is a doctor) and my significant other (ex, kind of) strongly believe that I have Borderline Personality Disorder. I fit 9 out of 9 of the criteria, and even though I'm not happy about it, I too believe this is a correct diagnosis for me. I've been reading about how difficult it is to manage and how almost-impossible it is to overcome, but I'm willing to take the steps I need to get healthy. I'm starting therapy in January, and I will be looking into a possible medication change. I just wanted to come onto this website because I need support, and I want to learn all I can about this disorder. Thanks in advance for all your help.
