Title: Advise Needed
Post by: bgreen on December 21, 2016, 12:32:25 PM
My partner was told he may have BPD by a psychiatrist and the traits match up. The difficultly is he is also being assessed for Schizophrenic tendancies and no support group will help until that is established. In the mean time he is trying to control it himself.
This has worked ok until some recent stresses. He will tell me he is fine but his personality is starting to change again. He is distant short tempered and fed up. He also is becoming more controlling and getting stuck in thought patterns. I am trying to talk to him about this but he insists he is fine and he thinks I am trying to make him second guess himself. The difficulty is I also have mental health issues and become very stressed emotional etc so I therefore second guess whether it is in my head! Any help would be appreciated

A BP will make you believe its all you. So... .chances are, if you think its off, its off.

Hi bgreen,

*welcome*

I think that it helps to talk to others to gain an outside perspective, that you can get a balanced point of view when you feel confused. What do you do for self care when you're feeling tension?
