Title: Feeling accomplished
Post by: Aiming4Kindness on December 28, 2016, 10:51:12 AM
For the past few days, when my BPD partner lashed out, I just stayed silent instead of engaging in a fight and ruining several hours / days.  And when she was having a moment that led her to grab our baby from me, instead of resisting, I just smiled at my baby to let her know that everything is ok.  I'm not going to let her be in the middle of this.

I decided that since I can't be heard during these moments, it's not even worth trying.  Sad, but telling myself that being heard isn't Priority #1 makes the process easier as I create plan to detach.

Sounds like you used a good strategy to avoid an argument and to do what was best for the baby.  A wise choice for both you and the baby. |iiii

Aiming, I think you are showing great maturity here. And I commend you for making a plan before you take action.  |iiii

How far have you gotten in your plan?
