Title: Has anybody consulted with a PSYCHIC about their relationship with a pwBPD? Post by: michel71 on January 01, 2017, 05:50:25 PM Hi folks. Just wondering. Without offending anybody because I know there are people who are devout believers , I didn't really consider myself the type to do this. But I did. It is not like my lifetime has been spent consulting psychics and mediums. I am a Christian by faith. Since I have been with my uBPDw I have opened my mind, or become so completely desperate for answers, I have sought out information from every source.
Yesterday I spoke again with a well respected psychic ( the same one I have used in the past). I got some answers. Some of the things I already knew. But it helped. I kind of use it as a therapy session of sorts. Mostly it is validation. Title: Re: Has anybody consulted with a PSYCHIC about their relationship with a pwBPD? Post by: bus boy on January 01, 2017, 06:42:03 PM Hi michel71, I did. The medium was horrified with what she saw and with how bad Xw treated me. My mother went to a medium and the medium was so disturbed with the cards she saw in regard to my Xw she quit reading. The medium said to my mother " I don't know what this person is to you but there is to much evil in these cards, I have to stop reading"
In my reading the medium saw sexual abuse in xw's past, I said yes her grandfather was charged with molesting his children and grand children, the medium said its the father who molested your Xw. Take from this what you please. This was my experience. Title: Re: Has anybody consulted with a PSYCHIC about their relationship with a pwBPD? Post by: michel71 on January 01, 2017, 06:58:36 PM I went to a Medium and my departed mother came through. She was a narcissist who was very emotionally neglectful of me. She apologized and said that the reason why I try so hard to please women is because of her. Then about my uBPDw she said to "send her down the river".

Title: Re: Has anybody consulted with a PSYCHIC about their relationship with a pwBPD? Post by: cbm419 on January 01, 2017, 10:06:14 PM I saw a psychic a couple times while with my BPD. Two separate ones. Boy I don't think they were real deal, if that does exist (and it may, I'm open minded).
Both psychics could read that I was in love, I'm sure I mentioned an intense relationship with someone. And they just reinforced my ill thinking. They would say they can see I love someone with all my heart and that they were my soulmate. They were everything to me and it was all gonna work out and life was just gonna be peaches and cream. Well folks if they were truly seeing the future they would have said RUNNNNNNNN. Not knocking the psychic thing. Some are legit, or at least helpful. But they do tend to validate. And they were very much validating my clear exuberant love for my ex. And I def didnt mention any of the bad stuff (a pattern I engaged in with many back then). Just my own experience! Mostly it is validation. hi michel71, i would only caution you to limit your sources to clinical, relibable sources on BPD. in the aftermath of these relationships, i think we all need our fair share of validation, but it can become a trap. there are answers for the questions you have, some a bit harder to swallow than others, but ultimately, facing the facts of the disorder and your relationship will aid in your detachment. |
