So I want to rehearse how to respond when this happens ,How does a non BPD calming respond when being verbally abused ? I can't always walk away ,drive off, hang up or sit there and take it , what can I actually say ?

I tried it few times, and it worked, l was assertive stating the facts, and then calmly walked away. Being human, l'm not able to do this all the time, but l noticed that it does work when l use the strategy.
