Title: Looking for a therapist to help with a long distance relationship BPD sister
Post by: 22407ht on January 11, 2017, 04:54:40 PM
Good evening
I am new to the BPD family and am trying to mend a relationship with my twin sister who has undiagnosed BPD (a family therapist previously suspected she had BPD, but no formal diagnosis was given).  I am interested in attempting counseling but she lives in Utah and I am in Vermont.  Does anyone know of any reputable therapist that does skype therapy sessions?  Sadly and direct confrontation would not go well- and I would rather attempt mending our relationship the best we can, but would prefer going through a counselor to accomplish this.
Thank you!

Welcome 22407ht:

The links below go to search engines, where you can search for a therapist.  You can search for the area where you live, where your sister lives or perhaps elsewhere.  If you are paying cash, without insurance, I don't think you will have a problem.  I believe meeting outside of an office environment might not be acceptable for some (or all) insurances.  I inquired with my therapist about the possibility of a phone session, and she said she couldn't do it if insurance was used.

Is you twin a fraternal twin?  There are a couple of recent members on this board who are working on a relationship with their twin.

We look forward to hearing more of your story, when you are ready to share.
