Title: Re: My bpd? Husband Post by: ForeverDad on October 15, 2024, 08:35:59 PM Welcome! :hi: Just about all of us here can relate to the dilemma that we were in a two-faced relationship. Fortunately, you can browse our wealth of accumulated wisdom, insights and time tested strategies.
One insight is that there is not a 'sweet' person separate from the 'horrible' person. BPD is not precisely a split personality, it's more like a cycle of behavior back and forth. Typically, at the start of a relationship the person is careful not to let down his/her guard or posturing. It is sometimes called the idealization phase. The general pattern is that it worsens over time and some events are more likely to trigger heightened poor behavior. Are there any particular issues you'd like to discuss? |
