Title: What helped you the most to begin healing Post by: JsMom on November 25, 2025, 06:49:56 PM I'm just starting to look at tools and info. I'm not techy so it'll take me a bit. I'm just now accepting my part on a deep level, for my sons bpd. Yes, there are genetic components. Being my dad and my son's dad. But because of my own wounds/issues whatever. I raised him in a home that wasn't emotionally safe for him. Top that off his babysitter (a friend and her husband) molested him. I've tried to make up for the pain I caused by rescuing.... It hasn't worked, healed, made up for or changed his pain. What do I do that honors him and takes care of myself too? I'll keep reading topics on this site. I appreciate any tips, advice or a direction where to start. Thank you.
Title: Re: What helped you the most to begin healing Post by: SoVeryConfused on November 26, 2025, 09:21:47 AM I highly suggest Family Connections. It's a 12-week class that's free for those with loved ones that have emotional dysregulation from NEA-BPD.
It's quite good - but there's a long wait list to get in. If you can, I would suggest therapy with someone who is knowledgable of BPD. It requires behavior on our part that goes against everything in us as moms. I hope that's helpful. No parent is perfect. We have all made mistakes.
