Title: What are you BP's triggers?
Post by: WifeInOz on February 17, 2017, 04:33:20 PM
My husband's latest episode came out of nowhere yesterday. It started because my son was taking too long of a shower when the rule is 6 minutes each (totally ridiculous but I let alot go because I HATE fighting with him especially if it triggers MR HYDE!) ... .then it went right into how he overheard my daughter copping an attitude to me 4 days ago and how Im too soft with them... (He's their stepdad btw, their real dad died 3 years ago) ... .this all segued into how piss poor of a parent I am. We were all kissy and huggy an hour before this!  He has been sick with the flu since Monday but is OBVIOUSLY feeling better now... .Can illness trigger a borderline episode?  This episode completely came out of nowhere... .

Any thoughts? What are your person with BPD's triggers?

Don't know? Certainly being tired or not feeling well can make anyone cranky. I would wonder more if he took meds to feel better and the chemicals in them, maybe set him off?

You have been through a lot, if you lost your H, have a slightly autistic son and have now landed in this situation. I feel for you.

   Hi Healthy!
Thanks for your response! And thank you for your heartfelt words. I didnt lose my husband, but my two kids lost their dad 3 years ago, we had already been divorced for 6 years when he passed. Yeah, Im in a tough relationship. When he is great he's great, but when he's bad HE's TERRIBLE. Im sure you know :)
