Title: Devaluation without idealization in BPD?
Post by: jega4632 on March 13, 2017, 04:03:44 AM
Do you think that it's possible and/or have you experienced it?

If yes - why do you think it's possible?
Why would it happen?

Any other condition(s) where there would be devaluation without idealization (at least externally)? I mean something more severe (for lack of a better word) than someone just having a crush on someone else (or something similar) and devalues/ignores them as a way to deal with the fear of being honest.
I'm pretty sure in my case (my case with someone else devaluing me without, at least overt, idealization) it's not - externally but not internally. I want to not miss any helpful option, though, and I'm open to it being not externally and internally.

I meant I'm open to it having been before and/or currently being internal but not external.
