Title: Blaming objects Post by: mssalty on March 13, 2017, 08:41:43 AM Does anyone have a BPD who extends their blaming to objects? For instance, if they can't get their car to start, you point out the car is not in park. "Well I didn't put it in neutral.
Appliance won't turn on. You point out its not plugged in. "Well it was plugged in before. " Can't log in to home voice mail, ask if you changed the password. You say no. They claim they're entering it. You enter it for them and it works. "Well that's what I was entering." Something only they use has something break because of rough handling. "I didn't do anything. It's cheaply made, defective, and someone else did it." It's simply odd to me that even inanimate objects are subject to the blame game. He can't internalize the anger, or vent it on the object. He has to find a person to blame for it.
