Title: BPD Boyfriend
Post by: Lostbpdlover on April 05, 2017, 08:48:48 PM
Hi. I have a boyfriend with BPD that I have been dating for four years now. He recently went to the hospital because he was in crisis. Not much was done and he has been extremely anxious and unable to handle much of anything. It's getting really hard to deal with and I'm really considering walking away from this situation. It's causing me a lot of unhappiness and stress. This thought makes me feel guilty because I know he is suffering, but I just don't think he's capable of having a healthy relationship. I'm really not sure what to do. I don't want to make a rash or emotional decision.

Hi LostBPDlover,

*welcome*

I'd like to welcome you to the group. I'm sorry to hea rthat you're going through this  I can see how emotionally exausting and distressing that would feel when your bf had a crisis and has BPD. I think that is a wise choice to not make rash decisions and reach out and talk to others. How long have you been together? Is he diagnosed with BPD? Is he getting treated for BPD?
