Title: Disrespected/Dishonored
Post by: smsnuggles on April 11, 2017, 03:33:51 PM
This is a cry for help and support in efforts to obtain guidance and a better perspective on how I should handle myself during this marriage. We just got married in July 2016... .In and out  hospitals/mental health facilities countless times with my husband. Mood swings are very hard to deal with coupled with the occasional name calling, criticism, and frequent arguments. Just got called jerk and apologized the next day. Just want to know at what point do I through in the towel and say enough is enough?

Hi smsnuggles,

BPD mood swings can feel like whiplash to those of us who love them. And supporting a loved one who is in and out of emotional crisis is not easy.

It takes a lot of strength to not be emotionally injured in a BPD marriage.

Was your H diagnosed BPD while in the hospital? Does he accept that he has a mental illness?

There are skills that can make a difference, and help prevent things from escalating. We're here to walk with you on this path.

What are the arguments usually about?
