Title: biased judge? Post by: soundofmusicgirl on May 06, 2017, 05:34:49 AM So we had our pre-trial hearing this week. Our L told us that our judge has an autistic child and therefore was siding with BPDxw on some issues. BPDxw (as a lot of us have experienced) sees the kids being completely unable and totally dependant on her.
My ss is 10 and is diagnosed with having mild ASD. He does well for the most part and loves life. But BPDxw likes to use his diagnosis to make up reasons of why he can't visit or talk to his father etc. Is it possible in family court to ask for a different judge, because he might be biased? I have no clue what level of autism his son has. But I am worried that he will take his son as a measuring stick of what my ss can do and can't do in life. Title: Re: biased judge? Post by: flourdust on May 06, 2017, 07:12:33 AM Have you asked your L this question? I had a similar concern about my judge, but my L did not want to switch because we could have ended up with one of the judges who are real nightmares.
