Title: child in relationship with BP
Post by: maxwell on May 24, 2017, 08:13:49 AM
Our adult child is in a five-year relationship with a BP. The relationship seems to be coming  to an end. Our child is very depressed. Any suggestions?

Hi maxwell,

*welcome*

I'd like to welcome you to BPDFAMILY. I can see how it would be hard to see your child in a r/s with a pwBPD for five years. Is he getting treated for depressions? Has he talked about harming himself? You're not alone.

Hello Maxwell, and welcome. We went through this with our son but he is still married, trying to get a divorce. Are there any children in this relationship?  It's hard to be a parent and watch our children be depressed. As parents we tend to want to fix things. Is your child seeing a counselor?  This has helped our son.  What I have found is it just takes time. It is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. There is tons of info and help here. Can you give us more info?
