Title: Dazed and confused Post by: Sophie112112 on June 09, 2017, 07:09:53 AM Hi, I'm new here and was hoping for advice on dealing with being in a relationship with a person with BPD.
My partner on his good days is sweet and loving. On his bad days though, I can't even begin to describe how much hurt he causes. I have told him that I want to be there for him and not to worry about me, but I worry that will just create resentment. Welcome to the board! You'll find lots of support here. Those of us who choose to stay in our relationships understand where you are coming from. Our pwBPD is great when things are good and when things get bad, it's awful. I know for me I've learned a lot about the dynamics of our relationship and I hope you can find the same. Let me suggest that you begin by reading through the workshops on the right side of the page. You'll find lots of new tools that can help improve your relationship and communication with your pwBPD. Here's a link to one to get your started on understanding your partner's behavior. https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=287068.msg12704926#msg12704926 |
