Title: In-Person Support Groups (specifically in Chicago)?
Post by: Eggmouse on July 24, 2017, 12:41:04 AM
Hi Everyone,

I've been a reader/lurker for a long time--though I did make a first post some time ago--and am at a point in my recovery from being parented by a single BPD mother that I would really love to be able to share, in person, experiences and stories with others who've gone through the same thing. I'm wondering if any of you have taken part in an in-person support group for children of parents with BPD, and if anyone knows of such a group in Chicago. I checked Meetup.com and Facebook and have found nothing so far.

If you're involved in such a group elsewhere, how is it administered and how did you find it?

Ive often wondered if there was any locally but could never find much. Everything for those with BPD or other issues but not for those in the life of the person with BPD etc.

Hi Eggmouse

I also looked locally to me, I've decided to reach out, set up a local meet up group and see what response I receive, worth a try  :)

I'm in a far SW suburb of Chicago and would love such a meet-up!
