Title: Ancient Wound Quote
Post by: vanx on August 15, 2017, 02:33:48 PM
Wow. I read this today and it's really healing for me, so thought I would share.

"The teachings on multiple lifetimes are interesting in this regard. In this lifetime, perhaps a particular person harmed us, and it can b helpful to know that. But on the other hand, possibly ours is a far more ancient wound; perhaps we've been carrying these same tendencies, these same ways of reacting, from lifetime to lifetime, and they keep giving birth to the same dramas, the same predicaments."

I found this to be validating, non shaming, and very self-empowering. Wow. This is from "Taking the Leap", by Pema Chodron by the way.

(I think it can be put in the perspective of one lifetime as well)
