Title: Dallas now has a shelter dedicated to male domestic violence survivors
Post by: Meili on September 22, 2017, 11:18:59 AM
The majority of this does not apply to the majority of the board because they are based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but there is also a US national hotline that provides information and resources. In case anyone needs the information:

The Family Place in Dallas now has a shelter dedicated to male survivors.  Additionally, Hope’s Door New Beginning Center and The Family Place provide counseling to male survivors of domestic violence as well.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline also provides services.  A few other helpful links can be found at the bottom of this page:

Interesting. Has anyone else seen this type of thing in their area?

That's awesome! I'm glad that some places are starting to acknowledge that DV is not just an issue that affects women.
