Hey everyone, I believe my wife of 23 yrs is BPD. She is in counseling but this has not been a diagnosis as of yet. Our marriage is on the rocks for certain and she is wanting out. We have a beautiful family and I do not want to see this happen! I am here for the long haul and looking forward to the advice and support.

Hello,
I am also married 23 years, currently in counseling and I am fairly sure my wife will soon be diagnosed... .
So far we are both stressed but I feel confident we will make it work. I did initiate counseling and I think my wife will be considered high functioning BPD.

I have watched with my mouth wide open as our therapist seems to check off many of the std symptoms.

Hi virtualfriday,

Welcome to the BPD Family

Has your wife been formally diagnosed with BPD?  Have you done any reading on BPD?  What issues are you struggling most with?  Can you give us an example?  How old are your kids?  What does the relationship with your wife and kids look like?  It sounds like you are doing marriage counseling, is anyone getting individual therapy?

That's the end of my questions  :) Just trying to learn more about where you are and what your situation currently looks like.

I'm glad you've found us there is a lot of support, knowledge, and tools on this site, we all "get it"

Take Care,
Panda39

HI mixnmatch,

Welcome *welcome*. Sorry things have been difficult. Can you share more about what has been going on in your relationship?
