Title: Introduction of a Returning User Post by: mav3rick on October 23, 2017, 09:38:30 PM Hello, everyone. Returning user here. I discovered this site about six years ago when I was first coming to terms with the abnormality of my childhood, my mother's mental illness, and emotional abuse recovery. Although I mostly read around than posted anything, you all were SUCH a colossal help to me at that time. I had a therapist who looking back could not relate in ways that I found in these forms, or had even close to an understanding of this strange and destructive mental illness as you all did. It was really your presence and the wealth of information that you provided that made my recovery possible -- I think is what I'm trying to say. So, I wanted to thank you all for that. This site is truly life-changing, it really is.
Anyway, I don't feel as though I need a lot of support in this area of my life anymore, but I found recently that I do still have a few questions concerning BPD and life as a BPD-child that I can't get access from anywhere else. So, I thought I'd make an account again and see where that takes me... .I hope that's okay! Thank you all again for your help. I look forward to what the future here holds. :thought: Title: Re: Introduction of a Returning User Post by: Woolspinner2000 on October 24, 2017, 09:11:52 PM Welcome back Peonie!
Very glad to hear about how helpful the site has been to you. |iiii It is wonderful to hear! And come, learn and explore and read all you want! We will enjoy participating in your posts and hearing your thoughts. There is a lot of very helpful information here to guide you as you explore the journey to recovery now that you are adult looking into this. I love the list 'Survivors Guide to Childhood Abuse' we have on the right hand side of our board ----->> > Have you taken a look? Anything you click on will open up into a more detailed window. Where do you see yourself on the list? There is also a book which I highly recommend that has been extremely helpful to me. I'll post our book review for you below: Surviving a Borderline Parent (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=68021.0[b) This was the first book I found about Borderlines. There are a lot of self help, thought provoking questions that can guide you along the way. Do you have a T too? Wools |
