Title: conservatorship petition for BPD mother
Post by: Jacki on October 25, 2017, 03:47:29 PM
I've been aware of my mother's personality disorder since 1976, and I've learned how to best communicate with her as well as taking the Family Connections class a couple of years ago.  I am now forced to take legal action against her.

I am currently going through treatment for recurrent uterine/endometrial cancer (my 3d cancer treatment) and I live in a property my mother bought for me 9 years ago and put in her trust.  The property is 2 1/2 hrs away from her.  But 3 years ago, when I went through surgery for a radical hysterectomy, she started to ban me from visiting her--which I did 2x a month.  She is extremely wealthy and she is under the influence of a very bitter and angry man who has his name on the trust and on the properties.  This man validates the invalid--validates her anger and jealousy of me.  She lacks self-direction and is extremely lazy (a princess) and this male assistant does everything for her, she has separation anxiety related to him.  She has shown signs of dementia--leaving the car parked with engine on, stopped using cell phone, stopped using computer, stopped writing letters, can't open her estate gate from home, can't remember my husband's name... .

Her attorney supports the assistant as he is the trust officer.  My mother is currently trying to evict me from the property she bought for me while I have just finished chemo for a recurrence and am looking to do radiation or surgery.  I have been forced to take legal action:  I filed a Quiet Claim on the house and a petition for conservatorship.  Her lawyers are making outrageous claims as to her mental fitness and social activities (she's always been solitary).

When I agreed to live in the property my mother bought for me, this assistant had only just been hired, I did not anticipate how extremely dangerous this situation would turn out to be for me.

In addition to my medical expenses, I am paying 3 attorneys to help so am looking into getting some kind of personal loan.
