Title: Anyone tried the Zero to Ten Question?
Post by: wendydarling on November 12, 2017, 01:26:57 PM
Hi

I came across the Zero to Ten Question and it struck me as something worth adding to my communicating and understanding skills, you may find it helpful.

It's from eqi.org (https://goo.gl/7WMNtk) I found the link while reading workshop  Topic 1.11 Validation - Stop invalidating others   (https://bpdfamily.com/content/communication-skills-dont-be-invalidating .10)

"Often in society we ask yes or no questions. Many times it would be more helpful to ask these questions in the form of 0-10 questions. We might say asking questions in this way is also more emotionally intelligent, because it gives us more emotional data." There are some useful real life examples showing how it made a difference.

Here is the link Understanding: Zero to Ten (https://goo.gl/GnmDU5)

I can recall many past conversations with my daughter where I could have used it, can you?

I'm going to use it this week  :)

Thanks, wendydarling - I really like this.  I think I usually don't understand that well!
