Title: looking forward to a new way of looking at things
Post by: humbled1 on November 20, 2017, 11:22:08 AM
I suspect my spouse has a relationship disability that keeps him from participating in any but superficial conversations in a meaningful way.  I hope I will be able to learn to think about things in a way that allows me to function and interact in a way that works for me.  I definitely want to become proactive rather than reactive.

You sound like myself a short time ago.

My first clue that we had a real relationship issue was me becoming aware that many of our conflicts and fights were not logical in nature. I then noticed that attempts to resolve small issues with typical logical thought and conversation had the opposite effect, It was like I was trying to control a fire and someone put gas in the fire extinguisher I was using.

Welcome humbled1,

*welcome* Sorry that you've noticed there seems to be little depth in your relationship. Can you share a little more about what has been going on?
