Title: Hello, my name is GraceB. Post by: GraceB on November 27, 2017, 09:24:49 PM I an new to this blog. Our child has not been officially diagnosed, but she seems to have classic symptoms. Now 20 years old, she has been hospitalized for suicide attempt once.
I'm very sad for her chaotic life style. This daughter is adopted and we suspect her mother has BPD as well. That's all I can muster for now. Title: Re: Hello, my name is GraceB. Post by: Huat on November 28, 2017, 06:17:36 PM Hi GraceB. Glad you found us.
My daughter has never been officially diagnosed either but when I read up on BPD I, too, recognize so many of the traits in her. Yes, while we feel sad for ourselves as we deal with these troubled children of ours, it is important to remember that they, themselves, are going through their own hell. Life with our daughter has truly been a roller coaster ride for us and for her. We have received genuine, heartfelt apologies from her over the years... .then while we were still basking in the feeling that all was behind us, something would set her off again. So, GraceB, you have come to the right place to find support and, in turn, you will end up support others. This website is chockful of information to help you and your daughter. Hope to hear more from you. Huat |
