Title: Divorce resources Post by: Psalm119 on December 16, 2017, 02:52:12 PM I am looking for resources that will help me understand the divorce process. I am almost done with "Splitting" and have "Will I Ever Be Free Of You?" and "Stop Walking on Eggshells" queued up. What else should I be reading, especially about divorce?
Title: Re: Divorce resources Post by: livednlearned on December 17, 2017, 05:17:48 PM Hi Psalm119,
Welcome and hello :) I'm sorry for the pain and suffering that brings you here. And glad you found the site. There are some Lessons (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=239547.msg1331659#msg1331659) at the top of this board that might be useful. This article about how to take an assertive approach to a high-conflict divorce (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=270440.msg12566140#msg12566140) (based on Eddy's work) might also be very useful for you. Do you already have a lawyer? In your other post, it sounds like there might be some alienation going on, with your kids having a hard time knowing who you really are. I recommend reading Dr. Craig Childress's work (he has youtube videos, and lots of material that you can find online). It's understandable if you feel weird about posting things online. I just want to say that I didn't find a better place to ask questions. The community here changed the trajectory of my divorce in so many ways I lost count. Collective wisdom can be really helpful when you are in the wilderness trying to find your way. Either way, we understand. You're not alone. LnL |
