Title: A BPD mother ...I wonder is it KARMA?
Post by: look on January 03, 2018, 12:27:38 PM
   everyone,

I have to start with a subject title with a little humor. My mother has BPD and right now I am the target; I guess is my turn. I was going through a medical treatment and I do not know if it was fortunate or not but during that period her BPD was in full potential and that is when I came to the realization of her mental state. Now, I have opened my eyes but is hard. She has a combination of malignant narcissistic and BPD. Is the new year 2018 and I am just thinking about forgiveness  really for my well being and to move on with my life.

I came by this site in the past but I was not ready to join in; I guess being sick had a lot do I had too much in my plate at that time.

Well, I hope to find good resources, information, share each other experiences and be of some support in this community.

Best,
KC *)

Hey KC welcome to the forum,

I have read that the scapegoat normally is the first to realise about BPD, because with fight or flight, the scapegoat isn’t allowed flight, so has to understand what they are fighting. So maybe being the target is what brought this on for you.

I like your humours title, keep that up, you may like this thread:

I look forward to reading more of your posts. Happy New Year.

What makes you think of karma? Yours or hers?

 :hi:

Sorry for the delayed reply ; finally finished treatment and feeling better
 :hi:

Indeed, Mother's Day!  uggghh I am just going to text a simple neutral salute but really after what this lady put me through a lifetime and the cherry on top was how she treated me when I was going through chemotherapy; I guess I took her spotlight. I just hope she forgets completely about me as if I had never existed in her life. I think is close to a yr. now that we have not seen each other I always keep at a diplomatic level any phone or text exchange. After this greeting it will be until next yr for her b-day God willing.

My regards to all take of yourself, you are not selfish for placing your needs first; all the best!

First, I am so glad you are doing better!  Chemo is so rough.

Second... I think 'delayed reply' is a bit of an understatement!  hahaha  When I checked I laughed out loud.  Thank you.

Are you still thinking it is Karma?
