Title: suicidal dd want abusive partner back Post by: wagwa on January 06, 2018, 03:23:59 PM my DD23 is feeling suicidal because she broke up with her boyfriend. he has held her hostage while beating her with a baseball bat and golf club last yr. She went on to have a baby with him who is five months old and has a three yr old from a previous relationship. She moved in with us and has lived here for over a yr. He has been cheating on her and she ended the relationship he turned up here smashed my car and window and she is blaming me and wants him back. I just don't know what to do

Welcome back I'm so sorry your daughter is in an abusive relationship and can understand you saying you do not know what to do, she has lived at home the last year following awful physical violence you describe and it's now happening in your home, you are blamed by both and your personal property attacked. From what you say you are stuck in the middle, it's time for you work it out, are you ready? Do you have family/friends support, have you reached out for counselling to help you work through this? I also wondered what support your daughter received is working with following the domestic violence. Small gentle steps work, we are walking with you. WDx |
