Title: Looking for book in her native language, Georgian (Republic of Georgia) Post by: fcb33 on January 09, 2018, 10:10:22 PM Hi,
I have a girl in my life whom I deeply care about. She is low-functioning with the vast majority of BPD symptoms. I am trying to introduce her to the idea of seeking help / therapy, and would like to find out the equivalent translation of BPD and some key BPD related terms (DBT, etc.) in her native language, Georgian (Republic of Georgia). Is there a centralized database / resource that would allow me to get translations for "Borderline Personality Disorder" and ":)ialectical Behavior Therapy" in Georgian, so that way she can get diagnosed and seek help locally in her country? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to visit her soon and wanted to take the opportunity to talk with her about BPD and point her to any resources that are available locally, which is why I needed the translation / equivalent key terms like BPD, DBT in her native language (Georgian).

You've posed a very difficult question and I apologize that no one was able to get back to you sooner. Unfortunately, I don't speak a lick of Georgian. However, our friends at Google are very good at translating for us. I was able to find this paper which appears to be written in Georgian and, I believe, discusses BPD and treatments: www.moh.gov.ge/uploads/guidelines/2017/04/26/c8622b8152c425938b61140038f31161.pdf I also believe this site might offer a registry of providers experienced in treating behavioral disorders: www.ndc.ge/en/ (the site also has translations in Georgian and Russian) I wasn't able to specifically find books translated to Georgian but perhaps if you get in contact with the center listed above, one of the counselors there can help? Please do let us know if these were able to help you. Much appreciated from my end.
