Title: How to deal with violent outbursts
Post by: Augusta1 on January 13, 2018, 01:11:06 AM
I’m looking for strategies, advice, etc. on making the house safe for everyone.

Situation:
My BPD spouse freaks out regularly throwing things, slamming doors, occasionally ‘accidentally’ breakithings in the kitchen. The fridge door and freezer door no longer close properly and the door frame of one of the commonly slammed door jams is scraped and dented.

It’s traumatic for the household and it happens pretty much daily, sometimes it’s isolated incidents but it’s gaining frequency to be multy day or multi week episode.

I’m looking for a way to keep peace in the house. It’ An untenable situation and I can’t continue with it this way - everyone in the house is too negativity effected.

Hello Augusta1, I am so sorry to hear that your household is experiencing these disturbing incidents.  They can be scary and put everyone on edge, not to mention the damage.

Can you give us some more details about your situation?  How old is your husband?  If you have children, what ages and genders?  How long have you been married?

You've found a good community here that can support you and help you with tools to cope with BPD behaviors.
