Title: I wish I could cry
Post by: mssalty on January 20, 2018, 11:18:30 AM
Each emotional punch to the gut hurts and I one time just want to lose it, but I can’t.  I don’t know if I’ve become numb to the world or what, but it feels like every emotion gets pushed into a corner with no outlet.   I feel sad and depressed and tears don’t come.

Is there anything to do when you feel numb?

Mssalty,

I suggest being deliberate about doing kind things for yourself.   Get some space from life stressors.

Use that time to reflect about where you see the numbness coming from in your life and consider what parts of that you control and what parts of that you could use boundaries to protect yourself from.

I'm sorry that I'm not familiar with your story.  Would you like to take some time and catch me up on recent events in your life?

I'll be around today to read and listen.
