Title: Here’s to new beginnings
Post by: Alex2018 on January 25, 2018, 06:24:30 PM
Hi Everyone

After almost 12 years of marriage and walking on eggshells, my BPD husband moved out yesterday... .after changing his mind several times of course!

This morning I have such a feeling of relief and freedom, but also nervous of what the future may hold, especially for my kids.

Kids and I are all booked in for counselling, and while I’m sure the road ahead will not be easy I am relieved that we have at least started on our road to healing. At least we can now stop acting like the perfect happy family to the outside world... .how exhausting was that?

Looking forward to sharing advice and learn from everyone here!

Upwards and onwards!

Alex2018,
Welcome to your new beginning.  You are right that the road ahead will have it's bumps and pot holes, but having a good counselor for you and the kids can go a long ways to smoothing those out.

Hi Alex2018,

Here's to healing  :)

I admire you for getting you and your kids into counseling. It's nice to get to know ourselves better  *)

This site really changed my life when I went through divorce/custody. How can we best support you right now?

There are some good things to know going into a high-conflict divorce. What do you think your H will do first, or next, now that he has left?
