Title: No Contact Letter Post by: Kaboodle on March 02, 2018, 09:49:17 PM After another unwanted, distressing encounter today with my uBPDxbf, I am sending a formal No Contact letter, by registered mail, tomorrow. I thought it might help others, to have a template to use, so here goes:
[Date] [Name] [Address] This letter is to assert that I have no interest in having or maintaining any contact with you whatsoever. As you have not been able to infer, from my complete lack of response since [insert date] to your repeated efforts to contact me, that I do not want any contact with you, I am now going to make it very clear in writing. As of today (date listed above), I require that you cease all forms of contact, and attempts at contact, with me. Contact and attempts at contact include telephone calls, texts, emails, all other forms of electronic communication (example, but not limited to, social media), letters, gifts, personal visits and workplace visits. This includes messages of any kind that are delivered by third parties such as, but not limited to, family members, friends, community members, colleagues and/or neighbours. If you do not respect these requirements immediately and in perpetuity, I am prepared to take further legal action. Signed, [Insert Name] Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: Speck on March 02, 2018, 11:15:25 PM Kaboodle,
That is a very clear cease and desist letter. Well done! -Speck Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: Turkish on March 02, 2018, 11:30:21 PM What did he do this time. Are you safe right now?
Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: Kaboodle on March 02, 2018, 11:45:39 PM What did he do this time. Are you safe right now? He showed up (with his latest girlfriend) to a public event that I normally attend weekly, and he was staring at me and followed me around. A half hour later, he was following me at the grocery store, and I fled. An hour later I received a bizarre text that said, "I don't understand your reasons for deleting and blocking me. I wish deleting me was that easy, for you." It may seem minor, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back, I've had enough, I can't let this go on one day longer. Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: Turkish on March 02, 2018, 11:49:57 PM That's freaking weird.
You are prepared to follow through legally if need be? Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: Kaboodle on March 02, 2018, 11:53:23 PM That's freaking weird. You are prepared to follow through legally if need be? I am giving a copy of the letter to the local RCMP. This would be the first step in the restraining order process. Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: once removed on March 03, 2018, 01:19:46 AM After another unwanted, distressing encounter today with my uBPDxbf how often is this happening? Title: Re: No Contact Letter Post by: Kaboodle on March 03, 2018, 01:47:25 AM how often is this happening? Not frequently... .I have him blocked on social media and email, I have been away for work for three weeks, and I have been laying very low since my return. So I assumed, since he hadn't taken any opportunities to initiate contact in over a month, that I was in the clear. |
