Title: Learning to Set Boundaries Post by: Clear Boundaries on March 11, 2018, 03:29:55 PM Thrilled to have found this community. My goal in registering is learning to set kind but firm boundaries in my relationship with one of my parents. My goal is to become proactive instead of reactive. Thank you for creating this forum.

Welcome to the BPD Family I'm glad you've jumped in and joined us. In my opinion boundaries are key when you have someone with BPD in your life. They can be expert boundary busters so we have to learn not only what our boundaries are but how to enforce them. Can you tell us about some areas that you want boundaries around? Maybe we can help you strategize. I'd like to join Panda39 in welcoming you to the bpdfamily. I'm really glad you found us, and I also really like your screen name! If you could share a little bit more about ways in which your parent is violating your boundaries, I'm sure we can help find some ways to help you. I am glad you found us and I can't wait to learn more about you and your situation! Title: Re: Learning to Set Boundaries Post by: Speck on March 13, 2018, 12:09:54 AM Welcome, Clear Boundaries!
I just wanted to join the others in welcoming you to the forums. And, like DaddyBear77, I really dig your username. That's a great start! What aspects of your parent's behavior do you find most difficult to deal with? If you could give us a little more background on your story and issues with your parent, I think we could help support you better in finding your way to clear boundaries. I believe you will be greatly comforted by the support here and the fact that we really understand what you are going through. We've all been there to varying degrees. Take care of yourself. We will look out for future posts from you. -Speck |
