My goal in registering is learning to set kind but firm boundaries in my relationship with one of my parents. My goal is to become proactive instead of reactive. Thank you for creating this forum.

Welcome to the BPD Family I'm glad you've jumped in and joined us. In my opinion boundaries are key when you have someone with BPD in your life. They can be expert boundary busters so we have to learn not only what our boundaries are but how to enforce them. Can you tell us about some areas that you want boundaries around? I just wanted to join the others in welcoming you to the forums. And, like DaddyBear77, I really dig your username. That's a great start! What aspects of your parent's behavior do you find most difficult to deal with? If you could give us a little more background on your story and issues with your parent, I think we could help support you better in finding your way to clear boundaries. I believe you will be greatly comforted by the support here and the fact that we really understand what you are going through. We've all been there to varying degrees. Take care of yourself.
