Title: Why is his ex making her presence felt?
Post by: Nelson80 on April 17, 2018, 08:27:52 AM
Hello

I'm new here & after some insight if possible please, when I met my now husband he had split up from his diagnosed BPD ex a year before, he then went NC with her as she kept trying to cause dramas between us & also between his friends too. It took quite drastic measures of changing mobile numbers , email addresses & unplugging the phone etc for the contact to stop. We then moved in together & have since moved house , and we didn't tell anyone who knows her where we have gone. This has been fine for 3 years, until I went self employed & joined Facebook to advertise my business .She has made herself known by liking a post of mine, and I also have had notifications from Linkedin saying she is viewing me.

I understand we all look at people out of curiousity occasionally on social media etc, but what I really would like some insight with is why make herself known to me? She could have had a look and remained anonymous but she made her presence felt. Which being honest has unsettled me , I don't know what she is hoping to achieve etc and would feel a bit better if I could understand . I haven't blocked her or anything because I read it could be a reaction she is after, so I have changed nothing.
Much appreciate any views , thanks

Hi Nelson80,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this. It sounds like she is still trying to keep tabs on you and your H. Do you think she let you know that she was watching as a way of being threatening, intimidating, or just to annoy you? Are you comfortable with her seeing your business information?

You moved and she lost contact 3 years ago but yet shortly after you get back on social media she finds you. What are the chances of that? Can she track you down from there?

She has a history of causing problems with you. What kinds of problems would you expect if you were to just block her?
