Hi Pearlsw , still in healing mode but feeling more and more like me... .the weather is gorgeous today & I'm trying to put some order to my Springtime backyard. For some reason the reminder popped into my head and I thought it would be something to share today. I sincerely hope life is much, much brighter through (formerly?) weary eyes and heart. :0) ~ Chynna

True love=real; not based on deception for starters... .

Um... .I disagree. Love is going to hurt from time to time.

That gives your relationship perspective. It gives it a moment to change and grow. It allows us to forgive others and ourselves. Yes, 'true' love hurts sometimes. We make mistakes.

Nothing breaks 'true' love more than being rigid.

Love does no harm to its neighbor, the Golden Rule or the 1 Corinthians 13 definition,  or the song by Nazareth, Love Hurts... .can both be true?

I think that yes, love is definitely gonna hurt at times but I don't think it's an intent to hurt. When 2 unique people choose to be together there most definitely will be a conflict or 2 but it's how the conflict or whatever is handled that makes the difference. Conflicts can be addressed with love. I believe that's kinda part of the interpretation of 1 Corinthians 13.

Hi,  Chynna.

I hear you're ready to heal and are working on viewing things positively.   Spring is a great time for this type of energy shift and new thinking!

Would it be fair to say you felt hurt in your past relationship?  How are you doing today?

Hi Insom , Yes Spring helps ... .Winter was cold on more than 1 level! I look back & I think the most pain was caused by xbf's total inability to recognize me as the person I am and so much more as something he could adapt for himself to use. ( when, as an adult, I have arrived at genuinely liking who I am - warts[not really] and all... .I've said before -I think the perfect mate for xbf would be a soulless young adult woman he could lecture and dress up to suit who he is on any given day.) I've arrived at a somewhat peaceful place which is something I'm hoping everyone here will accomplish ASAP. ~Chynna

... .and I truly learned the meaning of "but speak without Love, then I am merely a gong booming... ."My xbf could lecture & pontificate til the cows came home.
