Title: Re: Life coaches for BPD? Post by: GaGrl on May 21, 2018, 01:45:56 PM I am a certified executive and organizational coach. Part of our certification process is focused on differentiating someone who is "coachable" from some who has a mental or emotional situation that requires therapy.
Coaching starts with the premise that the person is whole and has life or work situations that can be improved upon. I don't see someone who is a certified coach working with a person who needs therapy. I would not accept a client coaching contract if I knew it was to work with someone who had been diagnosed with a mental condition and was looking for coaching to improve it.
