So for about a month we have just been emailing, sometimes a lot, sometimes not. I had requested just email. Then, he was in the hosp for 5 days, i called, and i said its ok if you call... .two wks no call, only emails. Our dog got ill, we share expenses, so i emailed him, does he want me to pay my half, dog had tests, treatment. Today, i get email, will call after work, if he is doing ok after working in the heat all day long day. Idk what to do. And, tomorrow is his b-day. He forgot my birthday, earlier this month. Its ok. It feels like a pull. I don't think that there is a right or wrong, if you want to wish him a happy birthday I'd send him a message by text, whatsapp so that you're not waiting around on him. Don't feel bad if you're not available it's not your fault he's ambivalent, I'd suggest to make some plans.
