Title: Thank you: very isolated, need to know how to have healthy boundaries Post by: Shieldmaiden on July 10, 2018, 04:06:00 PM Hello, Thank you for the add to BPD Family! I look forward to knowing you all! What brings me here you ask? Well my husband has BPD, PTSD, and Depression. He has recently went to seek help through residential treatment center he has been there for 34 days now and will probably be there at least another 30 days. I miss him tons but know this is the best thing for all of us. I hope this will help him live a more peaceful life and be able to cope with his inner self. I have somehow managed to shut everyone out of my life over the last 3 years for fear of judgment and lots of other reasons I'm sure you are all aware of. I am in a very confused and lonely place and feel even my therapist don't get it so have stopped going. I have isolated my self to my kids pretty much and that is it. I hope to gain some friends and understand how to set healthy boundaries talk through problems and daily situations with my husband again like we used to. I feel like I lost him and he's never coming back.
Hope you all have a wonderful day! Title: Re: Thank you: very isolated, need to know how to have healthy boundaries Post by: Mutt on July 10, 2018, 11:51:26 PM Hi Shieldmaiden,
I would miss my pwBPD too if they were gone for a month. I’m glad that you decided to join us. You’re in the right place there are members here that are going through something similar. Im glad to hear that you’re still engaging with your kids maybe reassess it after you’ve had some time to sort through this here. I’m sorry that it didn’t work out with your therapist I would advise to look for another one that syncs with you. |
