Title: We are New and Need some direction Post by: AleMTN on August 13, 2018, 01:29:52 AM Hello Group!
I'm from Southern California and I just found this group. I have a daughter that is 25 years old and we just have discovered that she has BPD! This has left her siblings, father and I devastated, however it has given us answers to a lot of her issues with life, family and friends. My husband and I are desperately trying connect with a group of other parents who can help guide us through this very difficult time. We are needing an intervention with her, however not sure how to move forward. Any and all help would be appreciated. Welcome to bpdfamily! I have a daughter that is 25 years old and we just have discovered that she has BPD! This has left her siblings, father and I devastated, however it has given us answers to a lot of her issues with life, family and friends. I fully understand how devastating it is to find out that a loved one, especially when that loved one is an adult child, has BPD, it can be really heartbreaking As you quite rightly say, it does however give answers to lots of issues and that in itself can bring some relief. Moving forward, may I suggest that you take a look around the site, there are great TOOLS and LESSONS to be found on the right |---> Also reading and participating in other members’ posts is a great way to gain insight and also support. Is there any specific area in your daughter’s behaviour that you are currently experiencing a problem with? I look forward to hearing more from you x |
