Title: New...I'm overwhelmed and feel compassion for my SO, want not to feel alone
Post by: Berta4 on August 14, 2018, 11:55:14 AM
My significant other's counselor suggested the "Stop Walking on Eggshells" book to me. Read it this past week. I had no previous knowledge of it. I'm overwhelmed. The relationship has it's challenges as it is and now I don't even know how to muster up enough "energy" to proceed. I have very much compassion for him and want to see him well but my insides feel all chewed up. Would love some advice. Or just to talk to someone who understands. Thanks!

Hi Berta4,

*welcome*

We understand! So you just discovered that your SO has BPD (or seems to)?

I am sorry you are feeling so overwhelmed, but you are not alone!

Have you had a chance to take a look at the lessons to the right of the board?  |--->

Your mention your insides are "feeling chewed up"... .can you please tell us what is hurting you the most? How are you feeling? Sad? Confused? Angry? You can talk to us!

wishing you peace, pearl
