Title: My 20 yr old daughter has BPD, Bipolar and a few other bits and bops
Post by: Mother S on August 19, 2018, 06:16:17 AM

Hi There,

I am so glad I found this page. My 20 year old daughter has been living with Mental illness since she was a young girl with everything escalating dangerously when she was about 12. We have been living on a rollercoaster, met so many wonderful people, spent a lot of time in hospitals, in therapy, walking on egg shells and yet still managed to laugh and smell the roses - sometimes.

Looking forward to connecting with others.

Cheers

Mother S

Hello Mother S  :hi:

Welcome!

Your post is really upbeat and positive, and I am so glad that you have managed to retain your sense of humour throughout everything that you have been through. I know how hard it can be, trying to keep perspective and still being able to laugh.

So, your 20 year old daughter is living with a mental health problem, has she received a formal diagnosis and is she currently in therapy? Does she currently live with you?

There are a lot of parents here to connect with, you are not alone that’s for sure. I look forward to hearing more from you x
