Hello Aquarius68  :hi:

Welcome to the family. It's a big jump the first post, I remember well how nervous I was. bpdfamily is a safe place, we are with you, we understand.

Can you share what's happening, what behaviours you are dealing with, how old is your daughter?

Small gentle steps helps us.

Hello Aquarius68

I would like to join wendydarling in welcoming you here  :hi:

I feel my daughter had BPD how do I get her to realize this and seek help

I remember arriving here for the first time with exactly the same thoughts inside my head, I thought it would be pretty straightforward, but the more I read and the more I found out about BPD I came to realise that there is nothing at all straightforward about BPD. The hard truth is that you cannot make your daughter realise that she might have BPD, unless you feel that she might be open to the suggestion and then there is still no guarantee that she will accept it. My uBPD son has always been in denial that there is anything “wrong” with him, he prefers to believe that it is me with the problem. Even if you did manage to convince her or she got a diagnosis there is no guarantee that she would seek help.

What you can do though is learn as much as you can about BPD and be there to help and support your daughter.

We are here to help and support you and I look forward to hearing more from you x
