Welcome to BPD Family, Schna01  :hi: I'm new too and have found this site to be a great place for support and information.

Hi all-my 18 year old was just diagnosed. It’s been a really rough several years!

I think my daughter (25) was diagnosed at age 16 or 17 and I know all too well what you mean when you say, "It's been a really rough several years!"

Is your child a son or a daughter?

Although I'm sorry for what brings you here, I'm really glad you found us.

Hi schna01

Along with Only Human, I welcome you here to the bpdfamily.

Im sorry youve been having such a difficult time and Im glad youve reached out here for support. It can be quite confronting having that diagnosis.

Are you able to share some more of your experiences? It will allow parents here to better target the conversation.

There is plenty of information on the board to the right to begin to learn aboit BPD.

Most importantly, make sure you are taking good care of yourself.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hello schna01

I join Only Human and Merlot welcoming you

Ugh is exactly how I felt when my now 30 DD was diagnosed in 2015 and shock, how did I miss this? Here I have learnt how to make things better, through my learning and the changes I made for me, to be the parent my DD needs. As parents here we pass on our learning and support to new parents, we do our best.

You've had tough years what's been happening, how are you today?

We are here for you.
