Title: New to Oz, "Eggshells" explained so much of the dysfunctional patterns
Post by: Gingerpolk on October 04, 2018, 03:21:19 PM
Hi all,
I’m new to Oz. Somehow I “picked up” an e book when I was on the library website and saw the title included “Stop walking on egg shells... .”. Whoa... I felt like I had been hit in the head with a 2X4 after reading about BPD. It explained so much of the dysfunctional behaviors and patterns in my marriage and family. I’m still processing it after 2 weeks... .

 Welcome aboard Gingerpolk,  :hi:
Stop walking on eggshells is a very familiar book for many of us here. I also got a pretty nice knot on the head from that 2x4 as I read it.    Sorry you're here, but so glad you found us. There is so much knowledge & help on these pages its hard not to log off without being better for it.
The discovering phase can be a bit overwhelming, are you practicing any self care? Some of us need to work on that  in the beginning as well as all along the way.

Hi Gingerpolk,

What have you been struggling with and how does the book help?

WELCOME!  I'm pretty new here too, and I arrived here after reading the Eggshells book and, like you, it was a real eye opener and, finally, something that described what I struggled to describe.  The community here is so supportive and even though I'm new, I have benefitted simply by participating.  See you 'round!
