Title: Feeling sad and lonely
Post by: Wolf Girl on November 04, 2018, 10:15:30 AM
I feel so helpless and losing energy to participate in life.  Nobody understands what my life is like, or my daughter’s.  Nothing seems to be getting any better.  Every day is more disappointment, coping with her behaviors.  I worry constantly.  I can’t talk to her about getting help-she’s refusing to.  I take a class with parents who have a family member living with a mental illness, but it’s not for BPD specifically; the other’s taking the class are supportive.  They know the struggles unlike anyone else.  No support groups for BPD in my area.  Maybe this can help?

Hi Wolf Girl

Welcome to family, I'm glad you've joined us, parents here understand dealing with someone we love with BPD is exhausting, it is isolating, can feel hopeless, you've come to right place to talk and gain much needed support with people who understand what you are going through.

Nobody understands what your life is like, or your daughter’s.  Nothing seems to be getting any better.  Can you share what's happening Wolf Girl? How old is your daughter, what behaviours are you dealing with? When was she diagnosed.

We have tools and skills here that help US make changes that we need to and that often includes changing our approach and when we do that we see, feel progress, we can get unstuck. Are you familiar with any of the tools, skills?

We're all together here, I'm glad you found us, we are walking with you, forwards.

Hugs to you, family are here

WDx

Hi Wolf Girl  :hi:

I join wendydarling in welcoming you to BPD Family. You've found a great place for support and knowledge.

There is one support group in my area specifically for parents of people w/BPD, but it's only 90 minutes long, every other week, and it's packed so there's not a lot of time for individual sharing. BPD Family has been a great support for me and so many others.

I'm glad you found us
