Above is a great read.

Today has been a difficult day. My daughter has been diagnosed officially again by another psychiatrist with BPD and bipolar type 2.

Now I have to deal with my own BPD mother extended stay with me at the hotel, riding back with me to my home town then staying until Monday to head back to her own city.

I know my skills but right now I just don't need the additional stress. My daughter will be discharged tomorrow and coming back to our city but staying at a friend's until BPD mom (Grandma) leaves.

Please post ideas, suggestions even encouragements for me to get thru this. This diagnosis is extremely difficult.

Thank you

Hi.  Rough morning huh?  Do you think you will feel relief at some point to know what it is you are dealing with?

About your mom extending her stay... .did she ask you?   Is she thinking she is supporting you or that she needs to be a part of the whole process or is it something else do you think?  Are you sharing a hotel room?  If so, can you tell her she needs to get her own room at least?

She thinks she is but she isn't right now. She has actually contacted a friend to pick her up later tomorrow. I am leaving at 10:30am. I can't wait to get home. Yes I told her how much I appreciated her getting her own ride, making her own arrangements and not staying at my place til Monday. I am relieved enormously.

Hi KHC,

Just popping in to see how you are doing?  Glad to hear your mom managed to get her own ride home.  That's one problem solved.

How is your stress level?  It sounds like your in the middle of a BPD sandwich, no easy place to be.    Self-care is going to be really important for you, take your stress temperature every so often and adjust accordingly.

How are things going at the moment?  Any sticky situations you want to talk through?
