Welcome, I have no doubt that this is a difficult and concerning time for you. My daughter is 21 and we have been walking through this life with her for many years. Since your daughter is in therapy you are off to a good start. Many of us learn after the fact what we are dealing with. Your daughters therapist is probably your best first resource. And possibly even one for yourself as you walk this path as a parent. My wife and I learned quite bit on this diagnosis and strategies through the following books: -Stop Walking on egg shells, Paul T. Mason -Loving Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder, Shari Manning. This board is a great resource. Many use it for hope, venting and new strategies. Don't lose hope, every situation is different. From my experience kids are challenging at every age and level. The advantage we have, is we know what our challenge is and it has a diagnosis. The strategies you learn will not only benefit yourself and your relationship with your daughter but it will become foundational in dealing with all people. Keep asking questions, keep searching for resources and strategies.
